Jamie Rotman
ICC was founded by Jamie Rotman and Lanzhen Li as a way to expand cultural exchange and strengthen emerging global leaders. Jamie is based in the United States and received her M.B.A. from Clark University in Worcester, MA. She is a successful entrepreneur, an accomplished traveler, a global citizen, and a dedicated parent. Jamie has made her mark connecting people and interests. She re-launched Designcenters as a successful boutique selling beautiful scarves, jewelry, handmade crafts from her travels around the world. Her goal was to build a dynamic brick and mortar store to come in and touch and see and feel as well as a virtual sales place to tell the story behind the making of each object and donate a portion of her sales back into area non-profits. Jamie was raised to be socially responsible within a family of entrepreneurs. She thinks creatively about solutions, builds community and actively gives back. Her family owns and operates the largest furniture store in Central Massachusetts now into its 3rd generation of operation, she has been an active participant in it's planning and success. Jamie most recently worked for the International Center of Worcester (ICW). She worked closely with the U.S. State Dept to bring professionals from around the world to Worcester for customized programs that included seminars on health, education, government, and technology. In addition to her responsibilities with building professional development programs, she ran cultural events for Fulbright Scholars and Open World Leadership Center. Open World promotes exchange between civic and political leaders in the U.S. and abroad. The Open World Leadership Center is the first international exchange agency in the U.S. Legislative Branch. Open World programs nationwide have collectively brought thousands of young, emerging leaders to the U.S. to engage in valuable cross-cultural exchange programs. Through her time with these top notch organization and her own personal experiences, she came to see a need that was not being filled and ICC was created. ICC takes on the best to make us better.
